Endometriosis is a condition where cells similar to the ones in the lining of the womb (uterus) are found elsewhere in the body. Each month these cells react in the same way to those in the womb, building up and then breaking down and bleeding. Unlike the cells in the womb that leave the body as a period, this blood has no way to escape, causing inflammation, pain and the forming of scar tissue.

  • That OVER 1.5 MILLION WOMEN and those assigned female at birth are diagnosed with endometriosis in the UK.​

  • It takes an average of 8 YEARS and 10 MONTHS to get a diagnosis.​

  • The cause of endometriosis is unknown and there is NO KNOWN CURE

ENDOMETRIOSIS - THE FACTS

This Won't Be the END of Me!

We have partnered with Endometriosis UK to exhibit a powerful floral symbol of a disease that affects a staggering 1.5million women across the UK. Our installation entitled 'This Won't Be the END of Me!' will represent the serious impact endometriosis has on physical and mental health, and a tribute to the strength and determination of all those fighting the disease.

The exhibit is a 3 metre high distorted column, featuring shocking red and pink blooms and organic materials, contrasting with barbed wire, slate fragments and mirror shards - A visceral representation of Endometriosis. We portray tearing pain, inflammation and blood flow, impact on mental health and identity and more to bring a true sense of the severity of the disease.

We all need to raise awareness to help drive better diagnosis, treatment and support for women now, and in the future. So, please join us and Endometriosis UK at RHS Flower Show Tatton Park, donate to Endometriosis UK, and share our updates on the event and beyond.
